This episode starts out with your "run-in-the-mill" shooting practice. Granted the premise of middle school girls training with assault rifles is by no means "normal", it does make for a compelling twist to an otherwise just another moe slice of life show.
What sets it apart though are the guns, as shown in the shooting competition between the upper classmen and UPC and her friends. You definitely won't find intensive firing and counter-attack planning in your any other slice of life show.
That was in my regards some intense firefight. I like how the anime tried to explain the difference in bullet density affects the shooting range of an assault rifle. It was great seeing school girls dodging bullets as they try to defeat one another.
